Eszter Kárász

Eszter Kárász is an actor, singer and performer whose work combines the worlds of theatre and music, and is at home in a variety of genres.

Her shows for children and adults alike are loved and sought after by audiences: one of her most famous is the ten-year-old Eszter-lánc band, whose playful songs – such as Játszóházi rokkendroll – are aimed at children and child-minded adults alike.

Eszter’s repertoire is also rich in music for adults:

She performs her literary evenings in her Little Shop of Rhymes with poets to the delight of her audiences.

Her French-related shows are all very popular: her Chanson Elysée with Dora Szinetár, her popular Piaf solo Padam and her French solo recital Under the Eyes of Paris are always applauded.

The Cseh Tamás Emém Concert with “Vodku’s Fiai” aims to preserve and keep alive the message and atmosphere of Tamás Cseh’s songs, and to perform those songs that have become a defining moment for generations of Hungarians.

“Este fess a pesti nő” is a chamber evening of hundreds of Hungarian chansons, film scores, and songs about women with many faces and a thousand colours.
Her formation, called Esztett, is a light music inspired by world music and jazz, with self-indulgent rock drolls, winking swings, happy Balkan rhythms and pensive lyrical songs with a lot of humour and self-irony.

Her versatile performances have a profound emotional impact, whether it’s the fun-playful children’s programs or the subtly nuanced, soulful musical experiences for adults.
